Lempi Maria "Maija" Rothovius (Helsinki, October 2, 1887 – Ikaalinen, June 17, 2000)[citation needed] was a Finnish supercentenarian and the oldest known person in Finland ever.[citation needed] She lived to be 112.
Rothovius was the third child of her parents.[citation needed] She studied in Helsinki, and worked in a bank.[citation needed] In her later years, Rothovius was mainly cared for by her daughter Terttu.[citation needed] Maria Andersson (1828?–1946) is rumoured to have been older (117 years), but her age is not verifiable due to her records having been destroyed.[citation needed]
