This is my user page. My real name is Leif Biberg Kristensen. In my professional life, I'm a senior consultant at the IT department of the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Organisation. My avocation is a genealogy one-place study of my ancestors' home parish of Solum, Lower Telemark, Norway during the time before 1814. To facilitate this research, I've developed my own genealogy database application using PostgreSQL and PHP running on my Linux workstation.

My interests are quite broad, ranging from History in general, through Ancient Greek literature, History of science, Philosophy, Technology, Computing, and diverse other very disparate themes which I don't care to mention in particular here.
