"Nero's Killing Machine" By Stephen Dando-Collins claims this legion was trained as a macedonian phalanx with 21 foot spears.. could someone check primary sources and see if that was the case? It'd rather interesting.

What is the "right side" of the Danube? Can someone modify this text? Is this the north side? The Germanic side? This is confusing. Thanks, Hu Gadarn 14:30, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
