Template:LeftTOCwrap
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The text-formatting Template:LeftTOCwrap floats the standard Wikipedia Table-of-Contents (TOC) box to the left margin (as typical), while also allowing any subsequent text to wrap alongside the right of the TOC box (as shown below).

[edit] Usage restrictions
The Template:LeftTOCwrap is intended for limited use within pages that have long Table-of-Contents (TOC) boxes, to shorten the page by allowing right-side text. However, any nearby infoboxes or right-side images might overlap and eclipse text, so usage is limited depending on those nearby boxes/images. As a fix, due to formatting issues in the MediaWiki software, eclipsing of text can be avoided by also using a left-side image, placed after or under template "{{LeftTOCwrap}}" (could be even a small image, using "[[Image:xxx|left|...]]"). The joint combination of using LeftTOCwrap followed by a left-side image avoids eclipsing of text near infoboxes or right-side images.
To force other text below the TOC, use template "{{-}}" which creates a section break.
