Lee James (born October 31, 1953) was an Olympic weightlifter for the United States.

Lee James caught the attention of York in 1973-74 and seemed to really turn it on to rise to the top. Set to 1974 worlds for experience, he moved up into the 198lb. class (after leaving the 181lb class) in 1975 and "the rest is history".
