[edit] RULES
1)No swearing
2)Respect other's opinions and beliefs
3)There is to be no removing of comments, so if you have a problem with something, just write" I have a problem with this", don't take it off unless it violates a rule. *IF a comment violates a rule, please write "Considered violating rule #__ (# of rule being violated)*
Should ANYONE violate a rule more 3 times, any further comments from that particular person, may, (and most likely will), be removed A.S.A.P!
These rules have been created by Leamarie411x2

{{helpme}}
- Dear Leamarie, you have placed the template requesting help, but I do not see a question. You may wish to ask a question at the Help desk to receive a prompt reply. Cheers! Ariel♥Gold 02:19, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Userboxes
-
- Re: Question about userboxes: You can find all sorts of information about userboxes at Wikipedia:Userboxes, including instructions for different layouts, and links to a variety of types! Hope that helps! Ariel♥Gold 03:48, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well, you have to find a userbox you like, and then you can add it via tables. If you just have one or two, you can add them, but they sometimes have display issues when doing it that way. If you pick a couple and would like to let me know which ones, I'd be happy to add them to your userpage for you if you wish. (Your comment on my talk page is at the very bottom, you can just scroll down to it, and click the "edit" link next to it, to reply) Cheers, Ariel♥Gold 04:05, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Grats! I fixed it up to remove the formatting issues for you, but I can put them into tables that are easier to organize, if you want. Ariel♥Gold 04:23, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- You'll see it when you edit the page, it says your name, and has directions. It is between characters that look like this: <!--Leamarie put userboxes here--> Goodnight! Ariel♥Gold 05:09, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Prettyfuying
Hey, I have created the Navbar, placed that on your pages, removed the userboxes from your user page, centerd the header, placed the missing userboxes onto your userbox page and added colour. Do these changes meet your approval? If you want any more help, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Tiddly-Tom 08:27, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have changed the colour of the canada section as per your request :) Tiddly-Tom 07:27, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Also added link to sandbox in navbar Tiddly-Tom 07:32, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks Tom. Everything is good for now. Note that any userpage/boxes requests might, and probably will, turn up on ArielGold's talk page. Leamarie411x2 (talk) 21:54, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Go to Ariel's talk, there is a new request there from me. Leamarie411x2 (talk) 22:34, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Done Tiddly-Tom 22:40, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! Leamarie411x2 (talk) 22:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I added some pics, and I would like to have them in a sub-page. Also, could you make it so that the animal name and comment are on seperate lines? Thanks! Leamarie411x2 (talk) 00:22, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Could you tell me the name of the pictures please, I can not seem to find them. Tiddly-Tom 09:10, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Awards
"Hi Wierd" - The absence of a comer makes a lot of difference :P Thank you very much for the award, it is much appreciated. :D Tiddly-Tom 06:58, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Adoption
Thank you for your kind message :) Indeed, I have already adopted 05kinjac. Were you interested in being adopted? Tiddly-Tom 19:45, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed I have not, however that is not a requirement. I would however be happy to adopt you :) What sort of subjects are you interested in? Tiddly-Tom 20:03, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, Cool. Wikipedia has a wide range of WikiProjects where by groups of editors work together to improve article of a particular topic. If you have a look at the list of WikiProjects - pick one that takes your fancy, and join it! We can then look into some basic editing of articles... that is what Wikipedia is all about... articles. At the moment, you don't have too many edits to articles, but that does not matter, we'll work on it. The Cheat sheet is very useful to learn the wiki markup - over time you will know it like second nature. To practice, I give you a task, if you chose to accept it. I want you to edit this page. I would like you to introduce some internal links, remove {{Uncategorized|date=February 2008}} and {{Deadend|date=February 2008}} from the article and add {{bio-stub}} at the end. Good luck! Drop me a note when your done and I'll take a look :) Tiddly-Tom 20:24, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, They were great. I have added a few more. One thing I forgot to tell you about is that you should bold the first appearence of the title of the article in the article. Take a look at the article here to understand what I am talking about. Ok, This time I will not tell you what to do so much... the article is this. Good luck! Tiddly-Tom 21:09, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- A few pointer on the last article - The stub notice should go right at the end of the article. If you look at the page you will see that it says it does not have any categories or many links to other articles. You may now remove these two tags, as you have added links, and that stub notice added a category. Other that that it was good. I got both of those articles from the list here feel free to pick a few more and do them. If you need any help, just drop me a note. Good luck! Tiddly-Tom 21:39, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- here - Sorry, My mistake :S :P Tiddly-Tom 22:41, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- This is looking good, just a few points I failed to mention before:
- Don't remove orphan tags, unless lots of articles link to the article (Click on What Links Here in the left hand toolbox). Don't be fooled by lots of links, we are only interested in links from articles, so nothing with Talk: User: User Talk: or anything else like that before it.
- In one of those articles you added two stub notices, one which was US-School and the other Arizona-Stub - as the Arizona one is more specific, just use that one.
- In short articles like these, we only link words once, so if the same word appeared in an article twice, only link the first.
- Last thing for the moment; it is worth going into preview mode and checking out where the links go to, as inparticularly you can have many people with the same name; most principles will not have their own page. In one of the articles you said this person was the principle ;) Not to worry; I sorted it.
- It's great to see an improvement, so keep up the good work! Do you use FireFox or Internet explorer (this is for a future challenge)? Tiddly-Tom 08:57, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. With regards to you edit to this page - the article title is right at the top of the page and therefore you can remove it from the article
(remove == Grandview Park Baptist School ==). Also, as you have added links to other articles, you can remove the dead end tag. Would you be willing to install FireFox - as this will allow you to use some tools to speed up some processes? Tiddly-Tom 17:53, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Ok, Do you prefer picture one or two? Tiddly-Tom 18:06, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, No problem. When you come across them, you should read guidelines and policys, and over time you will know everything!! (Well, not everything... but lots). Make sure you have read all five of the Five pillars. I'll get on and add that to your nav bar then. Tiddly-Tom 18:18, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, Navbar done, its now bigger than mine! Wikipedia has a wide range of policiys and guidelines for editors, you can read about them here. Tiddly-Tom 18:24, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Copy and paste the code of it into the signature box in your preferences, making sure you also click raw signature. I like the look of the signature! Tiddly-Tom 19:45, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- You can find out about the welcoming committee, and indeed how to welcome a user here. You can find a list of new users here. There are many more things to do on wikipedia than just adding links, one thing is, while you are reading online newspapers, if you see something that should in in an article, add it! But don't forget to provide at least one citation for your addition. When you have found something you want to add, and have added it, drop me a line and I'll check it over. If you have not already, I suggest you read the five pillars of wikipedia. Good luck! Tiddly-Tom 07:00, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- I personally have not been involved with user name problems much. Yes, it is longer then most user names, but if I came across it, I would personally leave it to someone more experienced to find. If they are very new, you could, polity, ask they if they would like to create an account with a shorter name, but as I said, if I came across it, I would probably leave it. The username policy does say that confusing user names are not allowed, but that is debatable in this case. Tiddly-Tom 06:53, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- I do not know if it was a mistake or not, but you combined two words to create 'Gatheringin' :P The link to American Gathering just links to that page, you have added links so it no longer needs the dead end tag, Also, the Month and Year links you did just link to the year, so you probably should do them separately, bolding it good, stub notice is good. Keep up the good work! If you feel like it, you could also add citations into articles you come across while looking through those dead end pages. Good luck! Tiddly-Tom 00:28, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- How about joining a WikiProject? See what tasks they have that need doing, and see if you can do them? If you want to anything that I don't mention, do it! :) Tiddly-Tom 00:18, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Signature
Hey, I think that your signature is so prettyfull that when another user whom I help asked for a signature, I kind of copied yours ;) Is this ok, or would you prefer me to make another? You can see it here Tiddly-Tom 23:28, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hi...
I'm just dropping by to say hi. I make it a point to look at everybodies pages that come to Tom's. --CherryBlossom93 17:41, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yea he is... I really like it..;D. Well a cyber-highschool is basically like any other school just no physical interaction with other teens. So it minimizes fights and stuff like that LOL. I get calls for my teachers twice a month or I can call them. They have Live-Lessons where the teacher talks to the students and explains what we are going over in the chapter at hand. Then one of my teachers has set up a live thing called the Coffee Table something. I haven't gone tho. And I actually run by my own schedule. But being highschool I don't have all the freedom my siblings have so when I go overdue I have to hurry and make up otherwise I will get a 0 after 2 weeks. I think it's really cool and much better than public school. Are u in highschool?--CherryBlossom93 04:01, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Adoption Continued
I don't really converse with users that much, except for when we come across each other when editing. I have made thousands of edits to the usertalk name space, but most of them are warning users for vandalism. You'll find that almost all non-vandal user you speak to are nice people :) Second point is about that article you linked to, Casting Crowns. I notice it is missing lots of possible references, so I would like you to try to dig up some citations and then add them into the article. Good luck, once you have given it a go, drop me a note and I will take a look. Tiddly-Tom 23:06, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Citations
I'll do my best to explain. Information on Wikipedia must be verifiable which is subtle different from being true. Information has to be able to be proven to be true. To do this we use citations. And they look like this most of the time.REMOVED If this was to be written in wikitext it would look like this: <ref>This is a citation</ref>. Then in the reference section of the article would appear like this:
[edit] References
- Your task now is to leave a message on my talk page citing this page. Best luck. Tiddly-Tom 20:26, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- Good we are getting there, but if readers wanted to check out the citation, it would be useful to have a link, so in that case we would use this:REMOVED Check out the reference section above to see how it would appear. Now try it for this, then we will try and do it for the article :) Tiddly-Tom 21:42, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Novels - 1st Coordinators Election
An election has been proposed and has been set up for this project. Description of the roles etc., can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Coordinators. If you wish to stand, enter your candidacy before the end of March and ask your questions of anyone already standing at Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Coordinators/May 2008. Voting will start on the 1st April and close at the end of April. The intention is for the appointments to last from May - November 2008. For other details check out the pages or ask. KevinalewisBot (talk) 13:12, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Citations and Signature
So close on the reference! If I want to link to a wikipedia article about a dog, but want it to say K9 we would write, in wikitext, [[dog|K9]] which would produce K9. Now, if we want to link to Google (the website), but have it look like the word yahoo we would, in wikitext write [http://www.google.co.uk/ Yahoo] which would produce Yahoo. Notice how there is a space instead of a 'pipe' (|)? If you go to my user talk page and fix the reference, I'll find some article we can do it on! :)
I'm sure Cherry would not be offended if we changed the colours, and it might be a little better for me - I won't get confused between you! If you have a colour in mind, I'll see what I can do. Alternately you could give it a go, if you wanted! (Don't worry if you can't do it - it took me a long time to learn how it works!) Tiddly-Tom 06:52, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- I see a problem in your signature... Part of it is white! On article talk pages, which have a white background, you wont be able to read part of it! Tiddly-Tom 23:51, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] aaaawwww....
I saw your message on Tom's page... I wouldn't be offended. Well maybe a little. :) Could you just change it a little. I mean a color that's close to mine? I thought it was nice that they were the same.--CherryBlossom93 23:54, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hey!
Hey! umm, I think it looks pretty good. Can you tell me how to do it? I want to make some of it black. I think the middle part. I am so very Emo. And I lean pretty much to dark as well as shiny things. I have little "bursts of color" moments. Oh do you know what Emo is?--CherryBlossom93 03:43, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] signiture...
Hey Lea! um, I saw the signiture and um, could you make Cherry and 93 a darker pink? Can you tell me how you do it? Srry, it's just when I ask Tom, he just does it for me and he won't tell me.--CherryBlossom93 15:38, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm happy to show you how. As you know, signatures are made up of code. If we change part of this code, the signature will change. If you look at your signature in edit mode, you will see it says font color="FF69B4". If you change the letters and numbers you will get a different color for the first and last part of your signature (it appears twice, you need to change it both times). You can find the color codes here. If you find a color you like, look along the row for the hex triplet (Will look like #FF69B4). You don't need to know why the color is written like that, if you really want to know, I can tell you. Tiddly-Tom 08:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Refs
We don't normally place ref lists on talk pages, and be bold, try adding in the information, another user might remove it in which case you can discuss it. Go give it a go :) The next step about references would be learning how to use the Template:Cite web. Go have a look and see what you think :) Tiddly-Tom 08:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- I had a feeling Cherry would be checking back ;) I'll go leave her a note if I remember to tell her she has a message here. That template is a bit like a form. You fill in each bit after the equals mark (=). We can do it very simply using {{cite web |url= |title= |accessdate= }}. We use the same <ref> tags around it, but instead of just a simple external link we use this template. So, if I wanted to cite this news story, we would type: <ref>{{cite web |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7326318.stm |title= Astronomers see 'youngest planet' |accessdate=2008-04-04 }}</ref>.
- We could also go very specific, and fill in lots of bits which would produce this:[1]
- You should typically fill out as much information as you can. When I said you should be bold, I meant with regards to this. Just add it into the article and see how you get on. Good luck! Tiddly-Tom 22:06, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, someone writes in an article 'The first man on the moon was Lance Armstrong.' They don't cite it. I need you to find a website on the net which says he was. Go to your preferences click on Gadgets tick reftools, then click save. Go to my talk page, copy 'The first man on the moon was Neil Armstrong.' Go just after the full stop and click on 'cite' which will be at the end of the edit toolbar. Click on web and fill out the form click add citation. Then save the page and I will take a look. Good luck :) Tiddly-Tom 21:46, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
