[edit] Image

What do you think if i put this picture to illustrate this article, is it too humourious ? Chmouel 18:26, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Political stance

Is this newspaper really more conservative than the "Le Monde" is left wing? The tone of the two articles is quite different. Whereas it is downplayed in one, it is pointedly marked out in the other. Should we harmonise this?

Yes, it is. Read what Le Figaro's owner said. David.Monniaux 12:43, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
On the (admittedly few) occasions I have read it, it has come across as Anglophobic and Americaphobic... As a Brit, I would say it's barely less xenophobic than the Daily Mail or The Sun (and the views of these papers are something of a national joke here in the UK!). It is certainly about as conservative as mainstream France gets, and definitely low-brow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.154.230.167 (talk) 22:22, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Occupation

Did Figaro continue to publish during the Occupation? If so, how did it survive when the other collaborationist papers were shut down after the Liberation? This should be mentioned in the article. Intelligent Mr Toad 18:25, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Le Figaro logo.svg

Image:Le Figaro logo.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
