Le Pontet is a French commune situated in the Vaucluse département of the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur région of south-east France. It is the most populous suburb of the city of Avignon, and lies adjacent to the north side of the city. As of the 1999 French census, the population of Le Pontet is 15,594.
