Lazare Kopelmanas

Lazare Kopelmanas (born July 1 [O.S.] July 14] 1907 in Kovna, Russian Empire (now Kaunas, Lithuania); died December 9, 1980 in Geneva, Switzerland) was an international jurist and diplomat. He received his legal education in 1930s at the universities of Geneva and Paris. From 1949 to 1977 he was Legal Adviser to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
Professor at the University of Paris (1946-1952), University of Geneva (1952-1978), visiting professor at Yale University (1957).
