Talk:Lawrence Phillips
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page DID need some heavy "cleaning up," and I began by adding categories and linking. It appears to have been lifted directly from an article, but it appears salvageable. If anyone knows what the status of the 2005 criminal case is, please add it. Sundevilesq 18:57, 3 July 2006 (UTC) Got some more details on the Aug. 21, 2005 arrest (from the ESPN article) and the March, 2006 aftermath (from the KFFL article). I have NO idea where the original author got his information from, but there are some gaps (i.e., when did Phillips play for the Miami Dolphins, and for how long?) In addition, I would welcome any help in "balancing" out and sourcing the almost reverential treatment of Phillips at Nebraska in the College Career section, as well as help documenting Phillips' pre-college life/background. - Actually, this page was hardly lifted from an article. When I found it a couple months before you did, it was in a lot worse condition. It was far from being the work of even one "original" author even then, mostly having obviously been put together piecemeal. I did some heavy cleaning up myself, changing the language and adding in some factual material - it was a real mess before that. I'll see what else I can do in meeting your requests.
- The bottom of the article says: "Former University of Miami alum and current Baltimore Ravens star linebacker Ray Lewis listed Phillips as his toughest opponent." I would be really curious to know what source this comes from. -- McBane, 11:58 p.m., Jan. 19, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.16.82.72 (talk) 05:58, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- Under Comeback to the NFL it states "He had a tryout with the 49er's and the Panthers and eventually signed for the veteran minimum with the Panthers on April 27, 2008." Any source that can be cited for this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.9.184.216 (talk) 12:50, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
