Lawton Chiles High School is public high school located on US 319 north of Tallahassee.

Lawton Chiles High School was established in 1999 and is the newest public high school in the Leon County school district. The first graduating class was the class of 2002. The school is named in honor of Lawton Chiles, governor of Florida from 1991 to 1998. The school motto "Cognosco, Duco, Perficio" translates from Latin to "I learn, I lead, I achieve."

The Lawton Chiles High School Band is under the direction of Mr. Mike German. It currently contains 107 members including auxiliary. In the 2007-2008 school year, the Chiles Marching Band earned superior ratings [1], one of only three in the district. The band also includes two symphonic band.
