Laws Stores

Laws Stores Ltd. were a chain of supermarkets which existed throughout the North East of England. They were founded in Byker in 1907 by Arthur McClelland (1884–1966), but only grew significantly during the supermarket boom of the late 60s and early 70s.

The whole chain was sold to Wm Low in 1985.
