Law is a village situated between Carluke and Wishaw in South Lanarkshire, Scotland with a population of around 2,800.
Law Village is an ex-mining village, now mostly residential. The services in Law include; Law Primary School; Community Centre (Tom Craig Centre); Spar; a Post Office and several other grocer shops.
Irvines Coaches, which is also based in Law Village, is a bus service which runs throughout Lanarkshire and surrounding areas.
The Argyle Railway Line from Lanark runs through the Village but the station was closed down several years ago. However there has been much speculation that it may be reopened in the near future, due to the building of many new homes on the old site of Law Hospital.
The hospital on the outskirts of Law Village has since been closed, with all patients to visit Wishaw General Hospital, located at the bottom of Wishaw, next to Craigneuk.
