L.D. Lard, who some may know as Mookie or LaVar, moved to Chicago after receiving his B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa. For years he had read and written numerous short stories and poems, but never published them. In the past three years he's realized that he had qualities and abilities that surpassed what he did in the office. He soon became a man driven to perfect his own life and do what made him happy. He's learned that there is nothing more fulfilling than to look back and realize that he's left no stone unturned and no cheek unblushed. He can't help but to appreciate that he can create pieces of art that people can relate to. He hopes that you all can get to know him through my art.
