== History ==

LaurMaia’s main accomplishment to the Internet world would be her site which is LMYMC (LaurMaia’s Young Writer’s Mega Club). She created it on January 12, 2006 with the help of three of her fellow roleplayers. She is still in contact with two of them. Her site’s homebase is acornrack.com, a Free Website Creator.

She is a member of other sites as well such as Neopets, Marapets, The-N, Sonic Earth, and The Young Writer’s Club. She sometimes disguises her username on various sites, but she can usually be recognized as LaurMaia.

Much of her personal life is kept a secret online, except that she is bilingual. A select few from her site, whom she has been roleplaying and communicating with for a year or more know more about her. It is obvious though that she can be outspoken and isn’t afraid to speak her mind on the forums. She sometimes comes into conflict with admin and members of certain sites, which is another reason for her creation of LMYWMC.

== LMYWMC ==

LMYWMC is geared towards young writers of all levels who want their writing published for other young writers to read and comment on. It also includes roleplays and various other forums for writers to express themselves.

The idea of it started on Marapets where LaurMaia took submissions from Marapets members and posted them on her Marasite with their consent under their name. Other members could submit comments to her, and she would read, approve, and post them. She eventually started a roleplaying feature on her marasite, but it was shortly removed because of PG-level romance. She and the other roleplayers were temporarily suspended from Marapets.

Because of their suspension, she heard of Acornrack through a fellow roleplayer and created her own site. She eventually ended up recruiting many members from various sites to join and contribute. She had much help from the LMYWMC Members.

“This site would be nothing without them,” she says. “I owe everything to the members.”

Since then it has continued to grow, adding new aspects to it that appeal to even those who aren’t that interesting in writing. One of these features would be the LMYWMC Games which are a series of challenges that work the creative side of the members’ minds even if the challenges don’t always involve writing. The members earn points for their team and the winning team at the end of the month gets their colors displayed on the site until the next month.

LMYWMC has very flexible rules that most members agree are easy to follow, because (as mentioned in the history section) LaurMaia sometimes finds it hard to remember all the rules of all the sites. Afterall, the site motto is “Bending the Rules.”

“I want the members to be able to express themselves,” she says.

She is always open for suggestions on the site and doesn’t get upset about criticism and advice.

== Writing ==

LaurMaia has been an avid roleplayer since September 2006, but she has been writing for eight years. Since then she has begun writing a book series, and joined a roleplay that has been going on for a year as of November 2007.
