[edit] Comments

The sentence "Her family moved from England to California, U.S., at the beginning of the 20th century." is unclear to me. Apparently it refers the the authors ancestors, otherwise she's over 100 years old. My first thought was it meant 21st century rather than 20th.

What's more, it's not exactly true, since it implies the move was directly from England to California. And it's out-of-place in the article. You know what, I think I'll just delete it. --Paul A 03:54, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Awards

I got the list of awards from her web site bio page at http://www.laurierking.com/bio.html. However, several of these awards don't seem to have wikipedia entries.

Edgar Award for best first novel from the Mystery Writers of America does.

John Creasey award from the Crime Writers' Association (Britain doesn't (yet).

Macavity award from Mystery Readers International and the Anthony awards don't.

Agatha best novel award doesn't.

The Nero Wolfe award, best novel doesn't.

I added an entry for the presenters of the Macavity and I'm researching the Nero now. RJFJR 05:16, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
