[edit] Newbery
I am confused. Laurence Yep is said to have won the Newbery Medal in this article; yet, other articles within Wikipedia show him only receiving the Newbery Honor, i.e. being a runner up to the medal. Does anyone know which is accurate? Cssprain 02:04, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- After some further research, I've ascertained for certain that it was in fact the Honor, not the Medal, that these books received. Fixed.Cssprain 01:29, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- Aye it is, I have the Dragon's Gate book since I was a child! Also a note I believe we should include a Cantonese pinyin version of his name as his descent and his book material is expressively within the context of the Cantonese diaspora. I understand the need to standardize all things "Chinese" but this distinction is important for this author. .:DavuMaya:. 05:33, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Additional refs
The following give good background information on Yep, in particular the second as it's a bio and can be used to expand this article. I could do that myself, but feel disinclined ATM as I'm trying to get articles on this Dragon series up.
