Laura's Star (original title is Lauras Stern) is an animated feature made and produced by Thilo Rothkirch, and it was originally released to theaters on 2004 in Germany by Warner Bros.. It is based on the children's book Lauras Stern by Klaus Baumgart.

Laura is seven year old country girl, who's just moved along with her family to a big city. On her first night in her new neighborhood, she sees a shooting star falling to earth, she finds it in a park and discovers it's a living being. Taking it back home, she and her brother Tommy discover the little star have special powers and can do amazing things like making people fly and bringing inanimate objects to life. But over time both notice that the longer the star stays on earth, the weaker it becomes, with their next door neighbor Max they find a way to send the little star back into outer space.
