This is the logo/crest/coat of arms of Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate Institute, used to represent the school. As such, it is a representation of the spirit, culture and nature of the school that cannot be expressed in words.

1. No free equivalent of this exists or can be created. This is a unique imagine wholly imagined to capture the spirit of Laurier high school, as the official seal there is no equivalent.
2. The low resolution logo respects commercial opportunities - its use here does not endanger any commercial opportunities for Laurier
3. The single, low resolution seal is a minimal use. A fraction of the seal would not convey the same message, and lower resolution copies would be so obscured as to be indecipherable.
4. This crest has been previously published - in many instances, but on Monday, October 1 at 9:30 AM (Eastern) it was available on Laurier's website
5. The seal of Laurier is generally encyclopedic and meets usual content criteria
6. The image is generally compliant with the image use policy
7. The image is used in at least one article, Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate Institute
8. The image imparts significant understanding of the school that words alone cannot. The crest is designed to capture the spirit of the school and to official represent the school.
