Talk:Las Vegas Dancers Alliance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As the founder of the Las Vegas Dancers Alliance I object to the deletion of this page. Not only has L.V.D.A. been cited in hundreds of articles, documented in The Nation magazine, and discussed at length in Marc Cooper's book, The Last Honest Place in America, it's also the subject of my own upcoming book on Las Vegas due out this year. Defunct or not, L.V.D.A. holds the distinction of being the first organization of exotic dancers in Las Vegas and represented a major step toward granting adult entertainers the same rights as other workers in America. Anyone studying women's rights or the struggles of sex workers in America would be well served by having information on L.V.D.A. readily available on Wikipedia.
