I am a semi-retired computing analyst presently living in South Carolina. I attended Baltimore Friends School and Earlham College, both Quaker institutions. Though living in South Carolina, I am still a member of Binghamton Friends Meeting and New York Yearly Meeting.

In the past I served on the NYYM coordinating committee for ministry and counsel. This committee organizes worship and spiritual study at yearly meeting sessions, and acts as a resource for monthly, and quarterly, meetings. During 1995-96 I was clerk of the coordinating committee when it considered and brought to the yearly meeting a new draft of the NYYM Faith and Practice. Out of this experience, I am led to edit and contribute to entries about Quaker worship and practice. I do not pretend to be an authority, merely and experienced Friend (Quaker).
