Talk:Larsen & Toubro Infotech
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Larsen & Toubro Infotech is the least paying company among all SEI CMM Level 5 companies. The company does not respect its employees. The employees are ill-treated. The company does not provide equal oppurtunities to all employees. Certain employees are given preferential treatment. The company also does not maintain any standards and consistency in its policies. For example a good performing highly motivated B.Sc. graduate(Having being awarded 1 Outstanding Performance Award and 1 Excellent Performance Award by the same company) is promoted to Senior Software Engineer only after 6 years of joining the company, however an Engineering Graduate with average performance and with just total IT experience of 2 years is promoted to Senior Software Engineer cadre in a matter of 2 years. The employees are highly de-motivated. The company has the highest attrition rate. Few quarters its as high as 93%. The work pressure in all of the projects are very high and employees are not provided any kind of compensation or benefits in case the attend to production problems in the middle of the night or during the weekends. The pay package is also very poor and again there is no consistency in this regard. The company has been certified for PCMM Level 5, however none of its policies are People Friendly!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Psramanuj (talk • contribs)
- This doesn't mean the Wikipedia article is not neutral. It doesn't praise the company -- it just mentions the facts that the company has been assessed at PCMM Level 5. utcursch | talk 11:25, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
I think the page does looks like an advertisement but whatever written above is not true either. A disgruntled employee is no different from the PR department of the company.(YPG 09:17, 12 May 2006 (UTC))
I believe we need to take into account all views and then come up with a decision, disgruntled employees too can have valuable comments which others might have ignored or may have been forced to ignore! - RVN
L&T Infotech ranked 10th this year!! But what has it done for its employees!! The company sucks!!! - NK < How is that possible ? It is based on Revenues - AU >
I have been working in this company for last 9 years and never had any such experience mentioned above - AU

I Have not worked in this company but right at the stage of interview and processes undertaken during the time i spent in the company I was able to find that this company does not have any standards, consider this
1. I enter the primary work area of the company and every member of the company is eating food throughout the floor and there is not even one person to receive any strangers.
2. I waited in the place which looked like outside business area, respecting the normal business etiquette of not interfering. There was no response for a long time and after I called up the HR representative, she came out and started telling me that I should have asked for recruitment and reached her cabin, which I found was very interesting procedure for an ISO 9001 company, which takes photographs of each of its visitor.
3. After completion of the tests which were silly to do with experienced candidates who were present there, they informed us that we have to sign a three year bond, I was surprised and shocked that such a bad practise was not informed to the candidate before the interview.
4. The overall attitude of the company toward the candidate was similar to the one towards a person at their mercy. I dont think such companies will attract good talent for a long period of time
This is not an opinion of mine, its just information about systems and procedures that this company has. Evidence to the fact that this company is not a good company to work with is that all experienced candidates speak bad about it and all freshers speak good about it.
