Who is Max Dowis and how large is he, exactly?--72.24.198.36 05:11, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

The importance of this article lies in its relevance to a) recognising that the word Large is not simply an adjective, but also a proper noun, and to b) the many people who are interested in learning the meaning of their surnames. In this instance, there has been little written about this surname due to its apparent prima facie meaning. In addition, there is no reason that I can see why Wikipedia cannot include surnames and their derivations as well as any number of other subjects.
