Lars' Adventure
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lars' Adventure is an online Adobe flash online platform game, developed by Swedish flash developer Raitendo, sponsored by Newgrounds and released in February, 2007.[1] The game received acclaim for its "absolutely incongruous and bizarre" music and sound effects, [2] and was featured on Wired's game blog "Game | Life", Digg.com and FHM's "100 Greatest Games" list.[3][4] The soundtrack consisted of only one track, a The Avalanches-inspired beat featuring voice samples from the 1950's US propaganda movie Duck and Cover called "Atomic", made by Mark "Khuskan" Jefferis. The sound effects consisted largely of seemingly random Arabic voice samples. [5] The game is playable in English, Swedish, as well as Japanese, something which helped the game get featured on some of the largest Japanese gaming blogs, such as "KotaroBlog".[6][7]
In the game, you control a bean-like character called "Count Lars", who per his father's request has to rid his county from monsters.
