Is there a list around of all the language locales and their proper formatting? For example:

I wonder why software always splits American English and British English yet Spanish is shown as just a single locale. There are more differences between "es-la" (not a real locale afaik) and es-es than between en-us and en-uk. (if I see another program translating the "File" menu as "Fichero", I'll track the translator down and rip his balls off) 200.127.223.79 (talk) 21:00, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
