Talk:Land of Make Believe (amusement park)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In your site you mentioned about the moo-moo bird with reference to a particular picture in The Land of Make Believe painting by Jaro Hess and not knowing where that picture comes from. I believe that scene comes from the book The Wonderful Adventures of Nils. I have not read the book but there is a similar picture in the book. Since Hess drew in fairtale character images, his version of the scene or picture would be a more animated one. In Texas, a moo bird would be a cow bird. I searched for the Japanese and the Hawaiian version of a moo-moo bird and came up empty handed. However, after viewing some of the information on the book The Wonderful Adventures of Nils and seeing a picture of a goose with Nils on it, I believe that is the book where that picture in The Land of Make Believe comes from. The information about the Nils book is in your website. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wonderful_Adventures_of_Nils
