[edit] Neutrality

Would someone care to elaborate on the disputed neutrality of this article? It appears to have been tagged with no explanation... Tombrabbin 13:49, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Looking back at the history, it was Dudesleeper who tagged the article, and looking back at previous revisions it definitely suffered from neutrality problems. There's still sections like "Disappointment" and phrases like "went from bad to worse", but it's not as bad as it once was as it's been cleaned up some since the tag was added, it definitely reads as if it's written for a Lancaster fan though. ●BillPP (talk|contribs) 17:36, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
As long as Doctor Jimmy's editing the article (example), the neutrality tag should remain. - Dudesleeper · Talk 02:04, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

What is wrong with this guy. Has he nothing better to do. Granted the Lancaster City F.C article has been written by a fan but what does he expect. Ive seen some of Dudesleeper's entries on Blackpool F.C. and its obviously quite clear who he supports. Everything I have written about Lancaster City is fact. What I do not like is the fact that Dudesleeper feels he can edit an article on a subject he knows absolute nothing about just to piss me off. Whether he has ever seen Lancaster City play, been to the Giant Axe or even visited Lancaster is disputable. I have spoken to many fans of English non-league football mostly from other clubs who agree that the article is a good and comprehensive account of Lancaster City F.C. What do you expect a Lancaster City article written by a Lancaster City fan and someone born and bred in the city to look like. Perhaps we should only allow people who know absolutely nothing and have no ties whatsoever with the subject they are covering to actually write these articles. Either that or we should except that people like Dudesleeper have very little else going on there lives. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Doctor Jimmy (talkcontribs)

Please avoid making personal attacks. Anybody can edit Wikipedia and there's even a suggestion that if you don't want things that you've added to be edited then don't add it to Wikipedia. I support Dudesleeper's edits because this article seriously violates guidelines such as WP:TONE and WP:NPOV. It's full of weasel words and peacock terms, and just because other people think it's good, doesn't make it exempt from the Wikipedia style guidelines. It's not impossible to be immersed in a subject but still write unbiased neutral articles on it so living in Lancaster is not an excuse. Don't attack people because they're changing your edits because that's happening on Wikipedia constantly and it's something you have to accept. ●BillPP (talk|contribs) 16:02, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Personnel attacks? Good grief its like being back at school. Some people really do need to get out more. I have however changed a couple of the sub-headings as i dont like having my hands slapped.(sigh) User:Doctor Jimmy

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Lancaster City FC.jpg

Image:Lancaster City FC.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Maintenance tags

Examples of what's still point-of-view and untidy, if you will (or just make the changes yourself). - Dudesleeper · Talk 15:39, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Tone vios (success from specific pov) include, but not limited to:
  • Healthier crowds and even healthier league positions and cup runs followed over the next few seasons.
  • things could have been easier
I shouldn't have added back the cleanup one so I'll remove that one. ●BillPP (talk|contribs) 15:47, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
