Langley is an unincorporated community in the census-designated place of McLean in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States.

The community was essentially absorbed into McLean many years ago, although there is still a Langley High School. In addition to being a bedroom community for Washington, D.C., the area is the site of the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency, the headquarters of the Federal Highway Administration, and the Claude Moore Colonial Farm of the National Park Service. Langley is often used as a metonym for the CIA.

[edit] In popular culture

The Smith family in the cartoon show American Dad! lives in a place called Langley Falls, VA. Because Langley Falls does not exist, it is possible that the Smith family lives in nearby Great Falls, or that they simply live in McLean. Stan Smith works for the CIA.

Langley is mentioned in the Box Car Racer song "watch the world".
