The Lancaster General Health Campus is a medical facility unlike any other in Lancaster County. The Health Campus offers one accessible suburban location where patietns can come for diagnostic tests, laboratory work, day surgery and a full range of outpatient services. It's also home to dozens of independent physician practices that have chosen to locate here for the convenience and benefit of their patients.

Lancaster General College of Nursing and Health Sciences is a two-year private college dedicated to the education of healthcare workers. Accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the College is located in Lancaster, PA. Lancaster General Hospital is proud to have offered one of the first Family Medicine Residency programs in America. It remains one of the most respected and exciting programs in the country. For more than 35 years, the Lancaster General Family Medicine Residency program has attracted some of the country’s most talented medical school graduates. This excellence is evidenced by the fact that Lancaster General had produced more AAFP/Bristol-Myers Squibb Awards (Formally AAFP/Mead Johnson Award) than any other residency program since the inception of the specialty of family medicine.
Lancaster General takes great pride in valuing family practice physicians as medical specialists. Twenty full-time faculty members, more than 750 active staff physicians specializing in the full range of disciplines, and state-of-the-art facilities have created one of the premier educational opportunities available for physicians focusing on family medicine.
Since its start in 1893 as a nonsectarian general hospital, Lancaster General has grown to be a significant leader in community (which is urban, rural and demographically and ethnically diverse) and in the field of healthcare services and education. Lancaster General Hospital has been honored for five of the past six years as one of the top 100 hospitals in the U.S. In July of 2005, U.S. News and World Report named Lancaster General as one of the top 50 hospitals in Ear, Nose & Throat, Heart & Heart Surgery, Hormonal Disorders, Orthopedics and Urology.
