Lakeside City is a town in Archer County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Wichita Falls, Texas Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 984 at the 2000 census.

Lakeside City is located at 33°49′42″N, 98°32′29″W (33.828326, -98.541512)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 984 people, 353 households, and 301 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,572.7 people per square mile (603.1/km²). There were 366 housing units at an average density of 585.0/sq mi (224.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.27% White, 0.30% African American, 0.30% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.41% from other races, and 0.61% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.63% of the population.

There were 353 households out of which 36.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.6% were married couples living together, 7.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.7% were non-families. 10.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.79 and the average family size was 3.02.

In the town the population was spread out with 26.1% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 24.6% from 25 to 44, 30.5% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 100.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.6 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $58,672, and the median income for a family was $61,875. Males had a median income of $36,422 versus $31,146 for females. The per capita income for the town was $23,950. About 1.3% of families and 2.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 1.7% of those under age 18 and 1.7% of those age 65 or over.
