Lake Bluff Middle School is located in East Lake Bluff, Illinois. It was established in 1955. The school is divided into the Sixth grade, Seventh grade, and Eighth grade. The Middle School feeds into Lake Forest High School, as Lake Bluff does not have a High School of its own. The rival school of L.B.M.S. is Deer Path Middle School in neighboring Lake Forest, Illinois. The mascot of the school is the bobcat, and the school newspaper is called the Paw Print. There is a school magazine called Literary Pursuits published every May. At the end of each school year, students receive a yearbook, and there is an annual school musical as well. It is part of Lake County School District 65. The current principal is Michael Donhost, who went there from Elm Place Middle School.
