"Laid to Rest" is the fifth single from the metal band Lamb of God, from their third album, Ashes of the Wake, and the first single from the album. The song is a playable song on the video game Guitar Hero II. A video was also made for the song.
The song is meant to be a first-person narrative of a murder victim, haunting his killer from beyond the grave.
The main riff bears striking resemblance to Testament's song "Into the Pit" off of their The New Order album.
