Lafayette Oaks

Lafayette Oaks is a subdivision in Tallahassee, Florida about 7 miles (11 km) northeast of downtown. It is one of a number of housing subdivisions built on the Lafayette Land Grant, land granted to the Marquis de Lafayette for his service in the American Revolution. There are about 350 homes all on one acre lots. This is one of the few gated communities in the Tallahassee area. There are about 1,000 residents who live in Lafayette Oaks; the median age is around 45. The streets are lined with oak, pine, and crepe myrtle trees. There is a community swimming pool, a park, and a pond in the center of the community.
