Lachlan McLean has been host of "SportsTalk84" on WHAS-AM radio in Louisville, Kentucky since July 2004.[1] The show airs from 7-9pm ET and is the top-rated sports radio talk show in Louisville.[citation needed] He also delivers the afternoon sportscasts for "Terry Meiners and Company" from 3-7pm.
Lachlan graduated from the University of Virginia in 1989 with a degree in Economics.[1] After two years as an investment banker in New York City, his sports career started with a production position at ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut.[1] His first on-air job was at WFXL-TV, the Fox affiliate in Albany, Georgia.[1] From there he went to WRDW-TV, the CBS affiliate in Augusta, Georgia. He moved to Louisville in 1999 to work for WHAS-TV, the ABC affiliate. After three years there, he moved to WB affiliate WBKI-TV to work in station promotions.
He is married to former WAVE-TV reporter Carolyn Gaeta and they have two daughters.[1]
