Description

La Boca

English: La Boca, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
עברית: לה בוקה היא שכונת עוני בבירה הארגנטינאית בואנוס איירס בקרבת הנמל לחופו של הנהר ריו דה לה פלטה. פירוש השם בספרדית הוא "הפה". זהו מוקד תיירותי המאופיין בבתים צבעוניים וברחובו הראשי - הקמיניטו ובמועדוני הטנגו שבו. בעבר הייתה השכונה שכונת מהגרים, בעיקר איטלקים, והבתים הדלים העשויים עץ ופח של הרחוב הראשי שופצו ונצבעו כדי לשנות את תדמיתה ושיוכה ובעיקר כדי למשוך תיירים. השכונה נצבעה (במקור) על ידי תושביה אשר עבדו בנמל והביאו אל השכונה את שאריות הצבע של האניות ועל כן הצבעים השונים. למרות השיפוץ אופיה של השכונה נשאר דל ועני, ועדיין קיימת בה סכנת שוד עקב הפשיעה הרבה.
