The list of noted students is unencyclopedic. I see anons are actively editing it. However I don't think most of these people are notable enough to be in an encyclopedia. Quarl (talk) 2006-01-16 06:16Z

I have tagged thsi article for cleanup to get some attnetion on this matter. Quarl (talk) 2006-01-16 21:34Z
I have removed the cleanup tag as the notable alumni issue seems to have been resolved. 71.246.25.218 03:13, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Sherurcij added the Noted Students section with one entry to Michael_William_Brescia, suspected to be involved in the Oklahoma City Bombing. Not wanting to have such a nefarious entry by itself, I added some additional noted students. The list has exploded since then. Perhaps it would be best to remove the section entirely. However, similar University articles have Noted Students, or Noted Alumni sections. Qswitch426 (talk) 2006-01-17

Perhaps a good criterion would be, only students/alumni with their own Wikipedia articles should be listed here. Quarl (talk) 2006-01-23 04:30Z

[edit] Proposed merger with Clear Circles

I am proposing the article CLEAR Circles be merged with La Salle University since it is not long enough to warrant its own article. Discuss this merger here. --No1lakersfan 14:27, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

I have removed the merge notice. The article you mentioned doesn't exist. If there is another article you are referring to, please feel free to re-add the message. BigDT 22:59, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SPL (Sigma Phi Lambda)

The link to Sigma Phi Lambda at the bottom links to the Nation Christian Sorority Sigma Phi Lambda, rather than a page about the local fraternity Sigma Phi Lambda. The link should be removed, it's kind of deceptive, and I'm sure somebody might take some degree of offense to it.

Thanks for the heads up. I removed the incorrect link and added the (local) modifier in the template. --qswitch426 11:17, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Comprehensive"

The lede calls LSU a "comprehensive" university, and the link goes to Comprehensive school, which is about the British sense of the term (meaning "a school which does not select prospective pupils according to academic ability"). Does LSU really not select prospective members according to academic ability, or is "comprehensive" used to mean something else in the US? And if it is, what should it link to?
