[edit] 1996 Fire

I struck

In 1996, the theater was closed for renovations when a fire broke out on 29 January.

(in the process of moving material from the 1st 'graph in order to restore chronology). It seems clear "completely destroyed" is closer to the truth than "closed for renovations", in light of nearly (6 weeks short of) 8 years' work.

Did it come true that

The first opera production will be La Traviata in November, 2004.

? In either case, the article needs an update of that sentence.
