La Nubia Airport (IATA: MZL, ICAO: SKMZ) is located in Manizales, Colombia. It is located 8 kilometers southeast of the city's downtown. Due to the short runway, large aircraft can't land and it can handle some aircraft like the Fokker 50, Dornier 328, De Havilland Dash 8 and ATR 42. In the coming years the Manizales airport will be changed to an international one in the municipality of Palestina (15 minutes from the city) which will have a runway of 2700 m. There is also a possibility of it being expanded to 3500 m. This airport is expected to open in 2010.
