[edit] Flagship Store

Image:Hbi store preview.jpg [2] HanesBrands has announced that it will open a Flagship Store in Winston Salem, North Carolina. This is also home to Hanes Brands Headquarters. The 19,000-square-foot store will replace Hanesbrands’ longtime store covering 10,000 square feet next to its former manufacturing plant at 700 S. Stratford Road. Hanesbrands recently put its 27-acre property on Stratford Road up for sale. [3] The existing Stratford Road store, which is 30 years old, will operate until the new store opens. “This will truly be a flagship store that is four times as big as our typical outlet stores,” said Mike Ernst, the senior vice president and general manager of direct-to-consumer businesses for Hanesbrands. “We will showcase the company’s full brand assortment with outlet prices.” The new store will be called the Hanesbrands Company Store. Scheduled to open in early July, the Hanesbrands store will carry all of the company’s brands and assorted apparel products. It will be Hanesbrands’ largest outlet store in the country and the only retail location where consumers can find all of the company’s innerwear, outerwear and sheer-hosiery products and brands, including Hanes, Champion, Playtex, Bali, Barely There, Just My size, Wonderbra and L’eggs. The store will have several departments - Hanes men’s and women’s products, Champion, intimate apparel and hosiery. There will also be a children’s department featuring Hanes and Champion underwear, socks and activewear, as well as an area devoted to closeouts and special offers.[4]

The company has plans to open three other stores in 2008 in addition to its flagship company store.
