There is not the least source for all this claims. He maybe was really a fanatic but this whole article just tells how moody this man was. There is nothing about his life or his work. -- CecilK 00:25, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
In this article Le Salut par les Juifs (1892) is translated as "Salvation from the Jews". This is incorrect. It should be "...by..." or "...through...". This is from the preface of a translation: "From its first line, Le Salut par les Juifs ... points out that the Blood which was shed upon the Cross for the redemption of humanity, like that which is poured out invisibly, every day, in the Chalice of the Holy Sacrament, is naturally and supernaturally Jewish Blood which has its source in Abraham and its mouth in the Five Wounds of Christ." (Albert Béguin, Léon Bloy, trans. Edith M. Riley (London: Sheed and Ward, 1947), pp. 112-113.) Whatever sort of fantacism Bloy might have tended towards this maltranslation involves an misguiding implication of coarse antisemitism.
