L&L restaurant in San Diego, California
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, or simply L&L and known as L&L Drive-Inn in Hawaii, is a theme franchise restaurant chain based in Honolulu, Hawaii centered on the Hawaiian plate lunch (Hawaiian: pa mea 'ai).[1] It was started in 1976 by Johnson Kam and Eddie Flores, Junior.
The company expanded from its original base of Hawaii in 1999 jumping across the Pacific Ocean into new California markets and now has nearly 200 locations. There are locations in the American states of Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Texas, and New York.[2] The restaurant is known for its generous portions, low prices, and bright and friendly atmosphere.[3]
