- Avatar: The Last Airbender. Production staff were explicitly instructed to view anime.[1][2]
- The Boondocks. Season 2 is under production by Japanese animation studio Madhouse. Creator Aaron McGruder cites Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo as sources of inspiration for fight scenes.[3]
- Code Lyoko. Popular French cartoon. Referred as a "fake anime", along with Totally Spies.[4]
- Di-Gata Defenders. Canadian cartoon with anime-style animation.[citation needed]
- Exosquad, created in response to Japanese animation[5] and explicitly marketed as "original American anime" by its creators.[6]
- Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. American cartoon based on the popular J-Pop group Puffy AmiYumi.[7]
- Kappa Mikey. Creator Larry Schwarz explicitly intended mixing American style animation with anime.[8]
- Megas XLR. Creators Jody Schaeffer and George Krstic cite influence from giant robot series, Macross or Robotech.[9]
- Ōban Star-Racers. A French-Japanese co-production with graphical visuals comparable to most anime series. This features music by Ayumi Hamasaki.[10][11] The company and production team relocated to Tokyo, Japan.[12]
- Teen Titans. Creator Glen Murakami explicitly cites manga/anime influence into its creation.[13]
- Team Galaxy. It blends "anime-inspired 2D animation with computer-generated elements".[14]
- The Batman. Creators have stated on behind-the-scenes featurettes on the season one box set that the show was influenced by anime styles, much like Teen Titans. [citation needed]
- Totally Spies. Anime influenced including anime face faults and gags. This is often referenced as "trying" to be anime.[15]
