Ah... schools and churches, only hotter debate for notability would be for webcomics (though I think that has died a little). Anyway! There are two sides, one saying all schools/churches are notable, other say only a handful are. Well, here's my thoughts on it.

Schools:

  • If it has one a team event at a state competition for any sport, it's notable (high schools only).
  • If a major event has happened at it (example: a shooting), it's notable (all types).
  • If the school has gotten a national award, it's notable (all types).
  • If there are more than three notable alumni, it tends to be notable (high schools only).
  • All school districts are notable, regardless of size.
  • Private schools that are part of a church should be mentioned in the church article unless it's notable on its own.
  • Public schools that are not notable should be mentioned in the district article.
  • All elementary and middle schools, with the exceptions of the above, belong in the district article.

Places of Worship:

  • If is the only church in the town, it's notable.
  • All Megachurches are notable.
  • Churches with total membership exceeding 5000 or average weekly attendance exceeding 2000 tend to be notable (usually they'll have both).
