I made a couple of changes to the history section because it was written as if kwaito eminated from a vacuum whereas other genres influnced it heavily.

[edit] Etymology
The Afrikaans word "kwaai" can be more accurately translated as "fierce" rather than "angry". Roger 16:09, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
And is it not decending from the Dutch "kwaad" which does mean "angry"? -Cocco Bill, May 27th, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.158.152.207 (talk) 16:45, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes the Afrikaans words "kwaad" (angry) and "kwaai" (fierce) do have the same root. There is no need to refer all the way back to 17th century Dutch to find the commonality. Roger (talk) 18:40, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
