KQTV, later renamed KVFD-TV, was a television station in Fort Dodge, Iowa, which operated from November 23, 1953 to at least 1977.

Edward J. Breen, a Fort Dodge attorney, owned KVFD radio and bought KQTV Channel 21 in 1953.[1] It was an NBC affiliate,[2] and local programming included a "Barndance" program [3] and "Uncle Dick's Fun House".[4]

The station changed its callsign to KVFD-TV in 1966.[5] It moved to channel 50 in the mid 1970s [6] before leaving the air completely a few years later. The station's callsign was deleted by the FCC in 1981.[7]

Channel 21 is now occupied by Iowa Public Television station KTIN in Fort Dodge, which signed on in 1977.[8]

The KQTV callsign has been used by a TV station in St. Joseph, Missouri since 1969.

Fort Dodge does not have any other commercial TV stations, and receives commercial TV from Des Moines.
