Kurdsat TV

KURDSat TV is a Kurdish satellite television station based in Iraqi Kurdistan belongs to Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). It broadcasts programmes mainly in Kurdish language. Other languages such as Turkmeni, Persian and Arabic are also used in some programmes. First established following the Gulf War, the TV station was known as "Telefizyoni Geli Kurdistan", the Kurdish National Television. However, on 01/01/2000, it was renamed KURDSat and was among the first Kurdish satellite stations in Iraqi Kurdistan. KURDSat TV is accessible live through Internet and also maintains a website for recent news and commentaries in English, Kurdish and Arabic.
