Talk about a blast from the past.
The WFMU blog link used as a source for the partial translation of the Thai used in the song quotes a post I made on Mark Prindle's record review site in the late 90's. The quote was
"An ex-girlfriend who was half-Thai heard it at my house one time and immediately recognized the language as Thai. Her Thai not being too great, she borrowed the cd to play for her mother who was born and raised in Thailand. Her mom had a hard time understanding all of it (cuts in the song?) but she did say the basic premise of the song was an "itch" that "won't go away....the itch never leaves (etc)". I guess she was kinda annoyed at the song and refused to listen to it more than once. The chorus (the part that sounds like "cunts" over and over) is "itch"
Which is what happened around 1994 or so.
I know a couple guys working at a Thai restaurant who might be able to give me a full translation of the lyrics. But I am not sure if it would be worth the trouble, or would be unnecessary for this article. If there's any interest, I wouldn't have a problem with trying to get a full translation.
