• Kavkaz (1970) — Direct Soviet intervention on the side of Egypt for the deployment and manning of new SAM batteries along with squadrons of aircraft to protect them from Israeli attacks
• Raviv (1969) — Israeli armoured raid across the Gulf of Suez into Egypt. Egyptian radar installation at Ras Abu-Daraj and Ras Za'arfrana were destroyed. Also known as the Ten-Hour War.
