GreenLawn: The pollution-free lawn service

GreenLawn is a grassroots change in the way lawns and yards are maintained. It is a company started by Michael Kueht and John Early in 2008 to address and capitalize on issues of environmental-responsibility. GreenLawn employees do not use electric or gas powered apparatus in an effort to reduce pollution, both of fossil-fuel combustion byproducts and noise. The main differences in GreenLawn's tool repertoire are the substitution of a manual reel mower for a gas-powered mower, a manual edger for a weed-eater, and a push broom in lieu of a blower. GreenLawn's sub-title, "The pollution-free lawn service," is an attempt to convey: A) GreenLawn is the first for-profit company aiming to reduce its environmental impact as delineated above and B) that both noise and air pollution are reduced through the elimination of engine-powered apparatus.
