Kuchh Is Tara ( also known as 'kit' - a short form of Kuchh Is Tara) is a popular Indian soap opera that airs on Sony TV Monday - Thursday 9:00 PM. It takes a lighthearted look at the other Ekta Kapoor's serials. It centers around a young woman name Kanya, who is looking for the love of her life, and finds instead, Ayaan Nanda. Now Kanya is married to Ranbir Nanda, her "real" love interest and soon to begin to fall in love in a "real" way, not like she did with Ayaan.

Breaking away from all norms this newage love story takes its viewers through the journey of a teenage middle class girl who awaits her prince charming. It’s every girl’s dream...an accidental meeting with destiny (her Prince Charming), love at first sight, blossoming romance...but what happens when the love story is spiked by the ‘hate guru’(a cynic who reacts instantly at the very mention of love, romance & marriage).

Life for Kanya has never been so good...

Protagonist Kanya (played by Dimple Jhangiani) hails from a simple middle class family and lives with her doting father, two sisters and a brother. She is the typical girl-next-door who harbours dreams of seeing her prince charming riding on a horse and sweeping her off her feet into a world of dreams, where true love prevails...

As Kanya’s story unfolds, she meets her prince charming at most unexpected time… Aayan is the perfect prince charming - young, dashing and rich… With each passing day the love between them grows and finally reaches its peak only for the ‘hate guru’ – Ranbir (Aayan’s uncle—played by Akashdeep Saighal) who enters their lives and shoots down cupid’s arrow to create a rift between them...
